For scaling B2B founders

Build a business that can scale beyond you.

You've built something valuable, but know the next stage cannot depend on you being involved in every important decision. We help you make the shift from hands-on operator to strategic leader: a leadership team that truly carries the load, and the headspace to plan for growth, succession, or whatever comes next — guided by founders who have already made the climb.

The founder bottleneck

No founder becomes the bottleneck overnight.

It happens gradually. The business grows. The team expands. Customers become more demanding. Decisions multiply. What once felt fast and entrepreneurial starts to feel stretched and reactive.

At £1m–£10m revenue, many B2B founders find themselves caught between two stages. The business is too big to run on instinct and personal energy alone, but not yet mature enough to operate through clear leadership, systems and accountability.

This is the point at which your role, as a founder, has to change. We're here to support and guide you through that shift — through interviews, frameworks and events, and, for founders who want more direct guidance, mentoring and advisory support too.

Experience behind FounderSherpa
Robin was the key catalyst in a transformation in the way the business saw itself and thereby how it was seen…holding the board and management team to account. The overall effect of his involvement was that business value increased in just 4 years by 4x.

Who FounderSherpa is for

Founders of scaling B2B businesses.

FounderSherpa is for founders of scaling B2B businesses, especially in media, data, events, information services, memberships, insight businesses, SaaS, agencies and professional services.

You may be growing quickly, but still too central to the business. You may have a leadership team, but not yet one that truly carries the load. You may be trying to scale without slipping back into firefighting. You may be beginning to think about succession, exit or simply how to create more space to work on the business rather than in it.

If you are building something valuable and want it to become less dependent on you, FounderSherpa is for you.

What we help founders think through

As a founder-led business grows, the work changes.

The question is no longer only how to win more customers or hire more people. It becomes how to build a company that can keep improving without every important decision running through the founder.

FounderSherpa explores the practical and personal challenges behind that transition: building a leadership team, delegating decisions, creating repeatable systems, strengthening governance, preparing for succession, and understanding the emotional reality of stepping back.

This is not generic leadership theory. It is practical guidance shaped by founders who have lived through the middle stages of growth and learned what they would do differently.

The Structural Weakness Most Scaling Leaders Ignore

A scaling business can look healthy on the surface — revenue ahead of budget, events selling out, the team growing. But structural weaknesses often hide beneath strong numbers, and tend to surface when the business can least afford them.

Events

Private conversations for scaling founders.

FounderSherpa hosts private founder lunches, dinners and networking events for scaling B2B founders. Our first founder lunch, held on 25 June in Borough Market, London, brought together 14 founders in a confidential, vendor-free environment. The next is on 3 November 2026.

These are designed to be useful conversations, not sales rooms — a place to compare notes with others navigating growth, leadership, succession, exit readiness and the founder's evolving role.

We also host selected networking events for founders who want to meet others at a similar stage: experienced operators building valuable businesses, carrying real responsibility, and thinking seriously about what comes next.
